At Cater Plus, we are committed to providing food that meets the highest safety and suitability standards, with a particular focus on allergen management and awareness. We have a thorough allergen management plan in place and take every precaution to avoid cross-contamination. However, please note that while we take great care, we cannot guarantee that our dishes are entirely free from trace amounts of allergens.
At Cater Plus, we handle a wide variety of ingredients in our kitchen, including Gluten, Wheat, Milk/Dairy, Egg, Soy, Fish, Shellfish*, Tree Nuts*, Peanuts, Sesame, Sulphites, and Lupin. Additionally, some products from our suppliers may be made in facilities that also process allergen-containing ingredients.
Shellfish includes all mollusks and crustaceans. Tree Nuts include, but are not limited to, common varieties such as almond, Brazil nut, cashew, hazelnut, macadamia, pecan, pistachio, walnut, and pine nut.
New Allergen Terminology
There are some important changes in how allergens are labelled in the dining hall.
What’s Changing?
Meals containing allergens will no longer be marked with abbreviations or symbol-based icons, such as GF (Gluten Free) or DF (Dairy Free). Instead, they will be labelled with full wording:
Made Without Gluten
Made Without Dairy
Why the Change?
We’ve updated our allergen labelling to comply with the new Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) guidelines, ensuring clearer communication and helping you make safe and informed meal choices.
We take food allergies seriously and will continue to do our best to accommodate all dietary needs.
